Meet Expectations
- It is your responsibility to sign up your swimmer (declare) for meets on Swimtopia, declare their availability for relays, and indicate late arrival/early departure.
- Session 1. 7:30am-10:00am (Medley Relays, 8&U Free, IM, Free)
- Session 2. 10:00am-12:30pm (Fly, Back, Breast, and Free Relays)
- This is an estimated timeline based on entries and meet efficiency.
- You may express stroke preference for relays in the Note. Coaches are happy to advise you on what events are suitable for your swimmer. The team manager (or experienced parents) can show you how to sign up your swimmer and sign up for volunteer spots.
- Meet sign-up will close at 5pm on Wednesday prior to the meet. Coaches will assign swimmers to relays Thursday at noon. Late entries may be added by contacting the Head Coach or Team Manager by e-mail no later than Friday at noon. Swimmers who declare late will be placed only if there are open lanes remaining in their events, and should not expect to swim relays for that meet.
Meet Policies
- Your swimmer’s age on June 1 is the age group they will swim in this season. For example, if your child turns 9 on June 2, they will swim as an 8 & under unless you choose to move your child up to match their age.
- Swimmers with ‘A’ Times will not be allowed to swim that stroke in their age group. To swim that event, they may age up.
- Swimmers should wear a black and/or purple suit for meets, and may wear a LSST cap or unaffiiated cap (i.e. no caps supporting other teams.)
- Swimmers may not have writing on any part of their bodies, other than event numbers on arms. This is a long-standing facility policy because ink transfers to the deck chairs and ruins them. Swimmers will not be allowed to swim until the writing is removed.
