Thursday, June 22, 2023 – Liberty Storm Swim Team

Storm Families and Parents,

Riptide confirmed a timeline with us today for Saturday, and the meet timeline is confirmed to be pushed back one hour due to facility availability and guard coverage. Please review all information and reach out to me with any changes as this will be off schedule of our normal meet schedule timeline.

Away @ Riptide Meet Info (6/24)
From Riptide:

• Doors wont unlock until 7:00am.
• We will be using lanes 1-6 to race in as lanes 7-8 are very shallow water diving.
• 25 Yard pool
• 8 & under 25's -will have timers moving to the other end so our young athletes can use the blocks if they wish.
• We will offer concessions
• Heat sheets will be for sale for $2.
• All families will crash outside around the building with no crashing inside
• We have spectator stands that will only be allowed for viewing a couple races at a time.
• Ducks will be given out for Heat Winners
• Inclement Weather Plan: There is a chance of rain on Saturday so please advise your families to prepare to be rained on. We will still swim since our facility is indoors, but if it becomes a problem where tents are blowing away and we're getting pelted by hail then we can take shelter inside and pause the meet (or cancel if worse comes to worse.

Entry Limit

4 MAX entries (3 Individual and 1 relay OR 2 Individual and 2 relays)
Note: Exhibition swims are additional entries and do not count toward limit. Exhibition swims will count for time, however not for scoring, points, and placing.

Exhibition relays are considered exhibition with an alternate filling-in, includes athletes that have exceeded the entry limit, or as an additional relay entry. Our goal is to make sure each swimmer has an opportunity to swim.

Away @ Gladstone Meet Info (6/17)

From Gladstone: We will open the gates at 6 am. Families are welcome to set up outside the gates on Saturday, June 17th, but not before, please. The city will not allow that, and there is no guarantee for items and property left overnight to set up early

Heat Sheets will be for sale the morning of the meet for $3.
